I don't think it is necessarily needed that we train or condition harder. For the past years that is exactly what we have been doing, that is train and condition harder. Yes it did help us improve, but not dramatically. For next year, we as a group should implement a new program, that will advance us into the next level. That is the program should target what we face in games, let say more game intensity training. It should also target different strategies that we can use to defeat teams (for the past years we only have one objection in game: give the ball to the forwards asap). For conditioning, we should try to focus on speed-endurance, not just pure speed or just pure endurance. Because we are not on the track team,we don't do all out sprints, and all out marathons. |
